The "Madame de Pompadour" dress
If you are like us and romanticize times gone by, in this case the 18th century, you can now actually live the fantasy. Thus the fitting name, Madame de Pompadour. The bodice, sleeves and center front skirt of this dress are made of a gorgeous brocade based on an antique wallpaper pattern. The rest of the dress is made of an iridescent taffeta with such a nice stiffness to it that the dress does not even need an underskirt, though that would really take the dress to the next level. The dress is fully detailed in velvet ribbon and bows, which truly gives it and old French antique feel. The bodice and sleeves are lined in a silky satin, because we want you to feel special inside and out. Viva La France!
